A Message from the President

Welcome to the Korean Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education (KIGEPE). I am Myung Sun Jang, the 9th President of the Korean Institute for Gender Equality Promotion and Education (KIGEPE). KIGEPE is a public organization that has been established to systematically implement and promote gender equality and gender sensitive education through which we work to improve gender discriminative mind sets and practices towards women and men in our society. We aim to lay out a solid social foundation so that every member of the society regardless of gender harnesses ones fullest capacity and aptitude that seeks for equal participation and treatment. KIGEPE will undertake its role as a specialized institution that works for a society where gender mainstreaming take roots in all sectors and will do our utmost in contributing to gender equal and sustainable development. As we undertake this mission, we look forward to your continued interest and participation. Thank you.
